Wheatstone Bridge Is a group of 5 musicians from Reno, Nevada who bring their love of harmony to life with clever, meaningful original songs. The music is rooted in the Americana, Progressive Folk, and Celtic traditions, while the lyrics are challenges to an inauthentic world and celebrations of consciousness and thought. Wheatstone Bridge is the newest incarnation of the 24 year collaboration between Stephen A Barron and Jill Marlene. Steve, whose influences range from Ween to John Denver, plays the acoustic guitar and writes the music together with Jill Marlene, lyricist and lead vocalist. Jill is a therapist by trade and her music is informed by the joy and suffering she sees in the world today. The songs are both deeply personal and universal in theme, making them penetrating and relatable. Joining Jill on the lead microphone, taking turns at the helm, is Louise Brock. Both Marlene and Brock are former classical singers whose voices soar alone, and together, blend like milk and honey. Brock, a transplant from North Carolina brings adventure, beauty and precision to every note she sings. . Gabe Hilton is a life-long musician, born and raised here in Reno.
