Tempest “Storm” Thomas is a multi-talented versatile musician who currently serves as the bassist for Washington DC’s dynamic premier all female band Be’la Dona and they have traveled nationally and backed artists such as Erykah Badu, Melanie Fiona, Christitte Michele, Estelle, Dougie Fresh, Leela James, Vivian Green, MC Lyte, Chico DeBarge and a host of other national recording artists. Storm also served as the bassist for national recording artist Ginuwine. Storm is also a dynamic soulful vocalist and she has a strong passion for music that has enabled her to have a vigorous musical journey. Storm began her musical journey by playing bass and singing in local churches with her dad’s gospel quartet singing group at the tender age of 9. That invaluable experience along with music lessons prepared her to consistently perform and to give heart-felt impressive stage performances whenever she takes the stage. She has a strong passion for music and she loves sharing her gift of music. In January 2017, she launched her musical project entitled “The Storm Unleashed Project” and it is a dynamic musical collaboration of DMV’s finest home grown diverse musical talent. This multifaceted project caters to several music genres including smooth jazz, R&B, funk, soul  and gospel. This vision was formed to allow her to fully express her artistry and to collaborate with other talented musicians to unleash all of the phenomenal musical talents shared by this dynamic ensemble. In November 2018, she accomplished one of her musical goals and served as the Executive Producer and Songwriter and released her very first single “Love Triangle” which is currently available on all digital outlets and she is diligently working on creating more music which will be released soon.
