Lucas Arizu and Darcy Kathleen are at the core of The Bayberry Cast, a band that expands from a duo to a 7-piece ensemble. Amongst the many genres in this group’s repertoire you will hear witty jazz songs, funky blues, and Latin grooves ranging from Brazil to Cuba! As an Argentinean born and raised in Buenos Aires, Lucas began his musical education at the “Escuela de Musica de Buenos Aires” (Buenos Aires Music School) where he learned the art of Tango and Folklore music played by the traditional nylon string guitar. With its individual members all from different backgrounds these musicians have been performing together in the Reno/Tahoe area and surrounding cities and will bring a great vibe to the World Concert. The Bayberry Cast are the area's premier jazz, soul, Latin and world vibe experts. Specializing in timeless music the Bayberry quartet covers a wide variety of music from around the world over the past seven decades. Vocalist Darcy Kathleen sings in French, Portuguese, Spanish and English in a variety of styles. Guitarist and flutist Lucas Arizu was born and raised in Buenos Aires, where he developed incredible skill and mastery of the instruments, Lucas relocated to Reno where he further developed his musical resume in jazz, classical and various other styles.
