He grew up with a street credibility thats well respected among his peers. He got the nickname Smoke because of his dark skin. Later, because of his big reputation and popularity, everybody wanted to call themselves Smoke so he became *SmoQsta* (his stage name) SmoQsta Da Moor started recording music at age 15 but never really took it serious until he was 18. He and his right hand man Anthony Payton started a duo called "T.I.P." (Thugz in Position). They released two singles titled "Da Hard Life" and "5Geez" which got them recognized throughout the City of Alexandria and the DMV. Later SmoQsta decided to go solo and released a club banga called "Tasty" and a street anthem called "Piss em off". From that point on, Promoters and Djs were calling him to perform all throughout the East Coast of USA and was killing every show leaving crowds shocked and amazed.
