Rigorous Proof is a "Post Modern Alternative Rock" outfit from Reno, Nevada. The band is fronted by the mercurial guitarist and singer, Johnny "Harpo" Bailey and the pragmatic Adam "Lando" Landis on keys and backup vocals. Rigorous Proof is a "Post Modern Alternative Rock" outfit from Reno, Nevada. The band is fronted by the mercurial guitarist and singer, Johnny "Harpo" Bailey and the pragmatic Adam "Lando" Landis on keys and backup vocals. The two are rounded out by the groovy and jovial Jesse "JayFlo" Gaddis on bass guitar, and solidified by the missing link between John Bonham and Ringo Starr---Wesley "WoFo" Forster on drums and percussion. Rigorous Proof plays music that blends a love for the old and the new, with lyrics pulling from narratives of triumph, despair, and sardonic wit. Think Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Arctic Monkeys and Wilco all fused together as one. The band released their first EP in November of 2011. Titled "Songs From East 8th St," the EP is a fast jaunt through the tales of a first love doomed for infamy. The follow up LP, "Perspectives," was released in January 2015 and is a sonic journey through the perspective of space, time, love and hate that we call the human endeavor. Rigorous Proof has been playing together since they weren't old enough to drink in bars and have opened for national acts such as Ty Segall, New Politics and Bloc Party as well as numerous hometown sold out shows with Moondog Matinee and Whitney Myer.
