In a society comprised of social norms and stereotypes, every person struggles through the journey of finding their own identity. Whether sticking with the norm or making your own path, it is always important to stay true to who you are. For San Antonio, Texas alternative rockers, North American Pharaohs, this journey is the foundation that inspires their music and their willingness to rise above all. After experimenting with their sound and gaining traction in their local scene; North American Pharaohs began working on their six song debut EP "Is This What You Want". With hard work and determination, the band finally released their long awaited EP Fall 2017. "Is This What You Want" combines strong melodies and warm choruses, but lyrically touches on much deeper personal struggles. Anxiety, depression, and heartbreak are feelings that many can relate to. North American Pharaohs singer/guitarist, Jackson Cowan uses his own personal struggles to create unique songs that everyone can find comfort in. Starting 2018 with a bang, North American Pharaohs played SXSW in Austin, Texas. After a small line up change, they have begun working on their first full length album. They are hoping for a Spring 2019 release. Less
