Williams started his musical journey while attending Colonial Jr. High and Hamilton High School, in Memphis Tennessee. Williams listened to and performed gospel music with his siblings, but it wasn't until later years he discovered other genres of music. Williams started his musical journey while attending Colonial Jr. High and Hamilton High School, in Memphis Tennessee. Williams listened to and performed gospel music with his siblings, but it wasn't until later years he discovered other genres of music. After playing bass and trumpet for several years, Williams received scholarship offers in music and athletics and chose to attend Austin Peay State University on a football scholarship. He soon realized that he couldn't devote more time to music, so he chose to concentrate on football and pick up musical gigs occasionally. Although Michael is gaining a reputation for being a versatile singer-song writer, his real talent lies in playing every instrument on his tracks. Williams musical influences includes the talents of his parents (Walter and Celestine Williams), Rod Temperton, Earth Wind & Fire, James Taylor, and Paul McCartney, Donny Hathaway. Less
