Lawrence Ngubeni also known as Lumar Imaji/Kidovele was born at Far East Rand Hospital, on the 11 May, grew up in a township, Etwatwa, Daveyton, Benoni, City of Ekurhuleni East Rand Gauteng Lawrence started realizing his art talent through writing poems in primary school, which he performed/recited at school during special days, e.g. Fun Day, Spring Day etc. He also had an opportunity to learn the basics of Drama/Theatre, which in Grade 7 he was part of a school play, which was performed on their school farewell function. Through his poetry skills, he started listening to music,Hip Hop and R&B. In Grade 8 he started to learn the skill of writings his own music, more especially RAP/Hip-hop, with the influence of South African and American artists like Cassper Nyovest, Lil Wayne, KO, J Cole and Kendrick Lamar. In Grade 9 he wrote his first single "Tragedy" but never got an opportunity to record it, he started freestyling, in which he became popular. In the same year he got into a rap battle, for the first time in his career, with his classmate Benford "Tonic" Meso, unfortunately he lost the battle, but gained the respect from the spectators. 2018, he got his first feature by Eclipse and Nandi on a track title "Unique" produced by BlaqJesus, months later, he got a chance to record his first single All I Wanted produced by SnowBeats, from that day he became a musical favorite, started working with other artists, like Blame Shaun, Sjensu, Flow killer and many others.
