Born and bred Texan, current New Yorker Kaycie Satterfield is a force to be reckoned with. She is a spitfire guitarist, singer, songwriter, and Aquarius to boot. Cutting her teeth playing rhythm guitar and singing in a Western Swing outfit in high school, she learned a jazz vocabulary which is still prevalent in her indie-rock-post-punk-alt-jazz confections.  Satterfield went on to study music at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She toured with Nashville-based southern rock group Thelma and the Sleaze before moving to New York City to pursue her solo work. Her EP Women’s Fiction really started to rustle some feathers and define Satterfield as an artist who refuses to be confined by genre and relentlessly pushes the lyrical envelope. Expect the unexpected from this budding songstress.
