Brother Oliver is a South Carolina-based psychic folk-rock outfit formed by two brothers, Andrew and Stephen Oliver. Brother Oliver is a South Carolina-based psychic folk-rock outfit formed by two brothers, Andrew and Stephen Oliver. Two years later, they moved to Greenville, South Carolina as a result of 20-year-old angst and longings for change — whereupon arrival, Andrew began writing and recording the band's debut record in 2013.Brother Oliver unleashed their latest full-length album in August 2017 — an ageless psych-folk journey marked by wondrous electric mandolin tones and haunting vocal melodies. Mastered by John Baldwin (Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes...) and self-produced in the band’s Appalachian studio, the self-titled effort has recently been praised by Huffington Post, PopMatters, AXS, Impose, Atwood Magazine and more.  Less
