Bluff Caller infuses R&B drenched alternative with a rock and roll foundation to produce a wild yet precise embodiment of a West-Coast alternative/rock group. Sonically, they begin with solid, charging guitar work, coupled with atmospheric keyboard arrangements, driven by a complex but disciplined rhythm section. With provocative lyrics and tightly arranged vocal harmonies, Bluff Caller creatively articulates experiences and emotions common to their Y-Generation. Bluff Caller is: Cody Rea; lead vocals, guitars, keyboards: the front-man and lyricist. Cody wrote and co-produced The Calm with Apprentice (Richie Panelli) in 2010. Cody’s lead guitar work is tenacious throughout their debut album. His versatile vocal deliveries are the boastful fire to Bluff Callers match. Spencer Mead; Guitars, keyboards, vocals: Haunting keyboard arrangements coupled with sustained and rhythm guitar work, Spencer is the mysterious force behind the keyboard/guitar combos. As co-founder of the group, Spencer adds the atmospheric electronic element to their sound. Dominic Kelly; Drums, vocals: A child prodigy on the drum kit, Dom (the metronome) brings a concrete and driven foundation, coupled with the ability to arrange and execute complex time signatures, bringing significant depth and energy to their sound. Greg Rea, Bass guitar, vocals: Cody’s younger brother, at a very young age Greg was shoulder tapped to learn the bass and has taken on this task with incredible talent and skill. He weaves together powerful, rolling lines with a very melodic approach. Greg provides the main vocal harmonies to Cody, making it hard to tell them apart with a brotherhood tone mesh. Less
