The Armchair Insomniacs are a musical collective orchestrated and directed by Chris Balm and Louis Bernstone. Both have an extensive history in writing, producing and performing high quality songs, and have been working together for many years. Working as a songwriting and production team, and under the guidance of the Armchair Insomniacs, they collaborate with other artists and musicians, and put the music together at Ellamy Studios in Auckland. No one is quite sure who they are. What we do know is they are multi-dimensional beings, a collective, surfing a harmonic universe of sound, light and love. In a multi-dimensional universe, vibration is everything. Armchair Insomniacs give form to that vibration – meditations on themes, dreams, hopes and possibilities – through word and sound, appearing in that space between awake and asleep. Currently transmitting from Aotearoa New Zealand, this debut album finds that humanity is part of that vibration and the songs are a journey through that humanity. Less
