Hi there, my name is Ezekiel Udoh aka YBWAI ZiQuel (recently added YBWAI though, it was just ZiQuel), and I'm a Soul-Pop musician hailing from Akwa Ibom state/Nigeria. I've been playing music for as long as I can remember, and it's been my passion ever since. Growing up, I was inspired by a wide range of artists and genres, from the classic reggae of Bob Marley and Lucky Dube to the smooth flows of Michael Jackson, Sade West Life and the likes. Listened to 2pac and his contemporaries too.I started playing piano at a young age, and over the years I've expanded my skills to include singing while playing. My music is a reflection of my eclectic tastes, blending elements of Soul, R'n'B, Folk and Afro Pop to create a sound that is uniquely my own. I write all my own songs, drawing inspiration from my own life experiences and the world around me. I've been lucky enough to perform in a variety of venues, from dinner parties and camp shows to larger theaters and festivals. Every performance is an opportunity to connect with my audience and share my music with others. Over the years, I've released several singles, each one representing a snapshot of where I was at that point in my musical journey. I'm constantly pushing myself to grow and evolve as a musician, always striving to create something new and exciting. When I'm not making music, you can usually find me exploring the great outdoors, spending time with friends and family, or indulging in my other passions like seeing movies and travelling.
