In the wake of my upcoming release "Demander," my 2004 album "Office Chair" is now available everywhere for purchase or streaming. It's one of my earliest forays in to the world of digital and loop based music.
It's a conceptual album based on the instructions for a generic office chair. Ironically the instructions and the idea were carried around for a year and the chair broke shortly after recording began. The actual casters from said broken chair created the opening sound sequence. Each piece took it's inspiration from a name of one of the chair's parts.
In rediscovering it myself, I found it interesting that at some times it feels like it was written by and older and wiser version of myself. A voice from the grave. May be best enjoyed in headphones where it could drive you a little insane. I believe this to be a good thing. I've always wanted to re do some of the vocals with my newer and more experienced voice. Perhaps I still will for my self. I could only "improve" it, not "fix" it. It can't be fixed. The chair is broken. It was always broken.
