Featured "Today at Apple" artist/speaker and named by Audiofemme.com as one of the "hardest working bands of 2017 & 2018" Vanessa Silberman is a national touring singer, guitarist and songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. She is also a record producer, engineer, an independent A&R and runs an artist development Label called A Diamond Heart Production. Widely known for having a very strong DIY ethic and wearing many different hats in the music business —Vanessa has worked for heavy hitter's in the music business such as Producer / Songwriter Dr.Luke as well as for many companies and places ranging from the Foo Fighter's Studio 606 to Epitaph Record's. Vanessa's live shows and music has been compared to the raw bare bones rock 'n roll of Nirvana & The Ramones along with the appeal of Liz Phair & Chrissie Hynde, authenticity of classic artists such as Patti Smith, Neil Young & the pop sensibilities of commercial radio artists such as Green Day. Audiofemme.com named the touring singer and guitarist one of the hardest working bands of 2018 as well as 2017 as she managed to play over 200 shows that year. Vanessa has done over 16 tours between 2015-2019 and played over 600 shows across the U.S. as well as in the UK & Europe supporting a self-titled EP and various singles (released through her label) along with a cassette released by Weiner (Burger Records). In 2018 Vanessa toured the U.S multiple times and played a few select dates in the UK & Europe. Kevin Lyman & the Ernie ball / Full Sail Stage, Shiragirl and the Transform Stage selected her to play on 3 different dates of the final Vans Warped Tour. She also released a single called “Outswimming Sharks” through her label that was recorded by Ken Susi of the band Unearth which was premiered by NewnoiseMagazine.com. Vanessa has often toured solo, featured other musicians/players backing her or has toured under the Vanessa Silberman Band (which features Reed Mullin, drummer of Corrosion of Conformity and producer / musician Mikel Ross). More recently Vanessa did a touring & recording artist series with Apple where she spoke and performed at their San Francisco Union Square store through the winter of 2018-2019. She also performed at NAMM 2019. Vanessa will be releasing her 2nd EP in early 2019 on TBD label - The EP contains 5 songs that were self-produced & recorded by her with additional production & engineering by Mikel Ross, mixed by John Lousteau (Foo Fighters, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Greg Graffin, The Used) & Oliver Roman at Studio 606 and mastered by Jett Galindo (Illuminati Hotties, the Interrupters) at The Bakery. The new EP ties in with a live show / re-branding image and relaunch with an all female band (which includes Chicago drummer Joanna Vassilatos as part of her band). Vanessa has supported Alkaline Trio, R.Ring (featuring Kelley Deal of The Breeders), Selector Dub Narotic (Calvin Johnson founder of K Records), Boy Toy, Dog Party and played Lobster Fest (San Pedro, CA), Star City Music Festival (San Francisco, CA) & Grrrls Kick Ass Fest (Madison, Wi). She has also been featured on the cover of Columbia Daily Tribune and The Fort Stockton Pioneer as well as in the Monterey County Weekly, IJPR.com, Times Herald, Star Tribune, The Source Weekly, wyomingpublicmedia.org, Northwestmusicscene.net, Davis Enterprise, Statesmen Journal, soundgirls.org plus many others. Her songs have received national radio play on well over 80 stations including: KFMU, KXLU, KBND, Jefferson Public Radio Ashland, KLCZ, WXCI, SCAD Radio / WRSF, WWUH, WXJM, KBGA, KTCV, KOAS plus many others.
