Chris Mcgrew and Kevin Seal are like a bay area Steely Dan. Hunkered up in Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco through all hours of the night their music brings together the a classic psychedelic vibe only possible when you record in the heart of a psychedelic dystopia, San Francisco’s tenderloin. Inspirations range from Bobby Womack to David Byrne to Airto Moreira. Syncopations bounce off of thick, extended chords and propulsive basslines. Decades of studio magic seep into the tracks, like the casks flavoring the scotch. Real musicians put their hands on real instruments, and eschewed auto-tune and beat correction.

As always we have Cigarbox Man opening up the night with his undeniable psychedelic blues infused indie madness.
