For Monte Skelton, music is a way of life.  It’s been that way even before most people learn of his ability to play over 20 musical instruments.  The University of Evansville alumni teaches private music lessons at Evansville Music Academy, and performs music around the Midwest.  Along with his musical talents, Skelton is known for his kind heart and optimistic outlook on life, even through the hardest of times. Through playing music festivals, private events, and local venues, Monte says that he has been fortunate enough to gain loyal followers.  Monte has also performed with the legendary group The Temptations and jazz vocalist Sherrie Bias, and has performed for many other famous musicians and events.   Currently he performs solo and with the amazing band ‘Team Skelton,’ and finished his 3 1/2 year term as the  music educator at Joshua Academy Elementary Charter School in 2016.
