MNKR (pronounced moniker) is a garage pop rock trio from Denton, Texas. MNKR consists of Jackson Russo (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Hagen Hauschild (Drums/Backing Vocals) and Dave Farrell (Bass). With a sound that varies from angsty rock to jumping upbeat songs and influences such as: Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters and Between the Buried and Me, MNKR has something to offer every fan of music. The band has played with acts such as Electric Six, Night Moves and Jessie Frye. The band has worked hard by playing numerous shows a week in Dallas, Denton and Fort Worth playing at numerous different venues in each city. In Summer 2016 MNKR independently released their first EP entitled On a Friday. Shortly after the release of On a Friday MNKR embarked on a tour in support of the EP.
