Lachlan Shane Forrester- McCoy Musician, guitarist, songwriter,  poet / gaming content creator.        Hailing from Norfolk Island 2899, Born on the 17th of March 1997 in Sydney West Ryde hospital. Locky McCoy started playing the uke at around age 5.. later starting the guitar at age 7.                    Locky strives to improve his musical knowlege and writing talent by conistently applying himself in all aspects and walks of the industry and hobby intrests.   Locky has released music with partner musician Shelly Gillum, this music was released on the 6/6/19 to all music stores and streaming services. The three track EP is named- 'Land and Sea'.  All writing and composing of the EP was done on Norfolk Island 2899 by the two boys. Norfolk Island can be now known as a birthplace of beloved rocknroll. Locky and Shelly have ideas for the future of their music and wish to persue their music creation 'PARADOX'  With their raw sound and pioneering audio, the boys want to meet like minded musicians to aid their journey and help each other grow to become the best they can be. Locky himself today, recognises his musical influences to stem from musicians like Slash from Guns n Roses, Jimi Hendrix and Ace Freely. With influence from Rocknroll, funk and blues. Locky is well equipped with knowlege of some of the greats. His biggest blues inspiration and introduction to the Delta blues world was from a musician named Robert Johnson. Locky admires his writing ability and the magical style Johnson developed in his young days. Locky says that "Robert Johnson has inspired millions of musicians to pick up a guitar and will keep doing so for many years to come."  Locky currently resides on Norfolk Island, honing his skills and dreams to one day become a talent and take his love of music to the people all over the world.      Locky loves to play video games and favours first person shooters. You can almost guarantee Locky will get the down at close, mid or long range. Locky rises to the occation armed with his favourite weapon in the game. A Kar 98. Locky says "There is nothing more in life i enjoy than something that takes away my focus from the surrounding world, whether it be music or PC gaming. Locky loved hockey at a young age. SPORT he says "Is so important for keeping fit as well as learning team work, motivating your peers to do better will make anyone feel good about themselves." Locky played hockey both on grass and on the ice. Being one of the fastest skaters on the rink. Locky started ice skating every weekend and afternoon he could as there was a rink out the back of the gold coast QLD he would visit. "The coolest rink I've ever skated on was a rink at Maquarie shopping cente. It is the same rink my mother grew up skating on when she was a little girl." Locky as a young man performed magic tricks practicing in front of the mirror, performing for his parents and then eventually taking his performance to the resteraunts in Broadbeach Gold Coast where he would make a quick penny. Locky's Grandmother gave him a little magic kit when he was 5 years old and said to him "practice, keep practicing and one day you will become a talented magician." Locky says "I think it was my Grandmothers inspiration that I found very helpful in trying to learn an instrument. Her husband, my Grandfather (poppy) was a very inspirational man also.. I learnt alot about the guitar from him. He use to tell me I wasnt allowed to touch the tuning pegs.. Respecting your instrument is very important, but listening to my Grandfather carefully before his passing, has brought me far." "Dreaming of music industry success has not been the easiest road to travel." lock says, "It is one pot hole after another. but with a little bit of faith in myself and some hard work put in.. I am confident I will start to see results." "nothing in my world would fufill me more than industry success". Locky's father Kevin Forrester' is a proffesional horse racing jockey. And has won thousands of races across Australia and some places oversees. Kevin rode and won on, the famous Miss Andretti. Kevin is a very proud father and encourages Locky to be the best he can be. Always. A constant reminder that you can get what you dream, you just have to get up early and break your back for it. Locky's mother Catherine McCoy' is an amazing spokes person and is currently a representative of the council of elders on Norfolk Island. Catherine has a strongly driven mind, and when it becomes set on doing something you can bet Catherine gets the job done. Lachlan Shane Forrester- McCoy was very intrested in performance at a young age undergoing training and eventually being enrolled in the acting and modeling agency V Managment at the age of 14. Locky appeared in the hit Steven Spielburg television show. 'Terra Nova' as an extra on set. As well as auditioning for H20 and a handfull of TV commercials. Locky said "Ive always been extremely intrested in acting. When I was a little boy I use to walk around the kitchen pretending I was on the moon. Sometimes I would pretend I was a big chicken, or a dinosaur destroying a city.." Aside from acting Locky at a young age was staring straight down the barrel of his favourite band, Guns n Roses. With their catchy riffs, sweet melody and Axl's screaming high notes. It was no suprise Slash (lead guitar) kick started Lockys dreams and aspirtions. "Im a HUGE Slash fan. absolutely changed my life the second I heard it. Didnt take me long. I learnt 'Sweet child o mine' and the necessary scales as soon as I could wrap my hands around it." "Alot of people ask me what my favourite song of all time is.. Its a tough one. I would have to say it would hover around 'Sweet child o mine' and end somewhere near 'Miss you love' by Silverchair. "I love rock ballads.. but sometimes you just need a little hard rock.. you know" Locky has always been influenced by the greatest.
