A host of new material is in the works including new artwork and images, and of course new music! Set to record in January 2019 (with Austin, Texas friends Kingdom Sound) and allied with Austin based booking agency TMMP, year two of these lions journey will prove to be busier than the first.  Having originally met in Virginia in 2015, the trio of Kyle Waters, Justin Reed and Bryan Montoya saw each other across multiple state lines to be reunited in 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. “We were made to funk.” says drummer Justin Reed. With the addition of trumpeter and third vocal Tommy Brown, the sonic possibilities of this newfound quartet have matured in rapid time. To be certain, LionThrone’s infectious grooves and soaring harmonies captivate.  Releasing the first single titled “Movequick” at their debut in San Antonio, Texas, LionThrone announced their presence with a string of performances at SXSW (unofficial) 2018.
