Got our first album review for exotic Americano from Midwest Records 
" FREDERICO7/Exotico Americano: A guitarist in Austin by way of Brazil looks to the future with his mix of Pan American soul as opposed to taking the easy way out with flamenco guitar. Pulling a host of contemporary sounds of the street into his mix, he crafts a tasty salmagundi of underground sounds that blend properly under his watchful eye. You don't have to be young to appreciate this but having a restless soul helps. Solid sounds of tomorrow."
A nice review overall  I'd replace 'guitarist' with singer-songwriter and 'flamenco' with 'classical'

A few years back I wrote a psychedelic soul ballad en Español called La Mirada del Halcón ('The Falcon's Gaze'). I was privileged to have master percussionist Michael Longoria and amazing producer Adrián Quesada to work on the track. I really dig its simplicity. We are now ready to share it with the world, as part of my debut record, Exótico Americano , due out 02.23.2019.

Dear Friends,
It has been an active 3 weeks here at Frederico's world and I am honored to have you in for the ride!
A Rainy fall is upon us here in Austin, TX. ACL fest came and went and left us inspired by the gracefulness of sir Paul McCartney, Janelle Monae, David Byrne and others. The access to so much amazing music is what has kept me here in the heart of Texas for so many years. The amount of music is overwhelming... which sometimes begs the question: Why keep playing live music? Well, the answer is... I can't live without it!
There's a New Moon out tonight, which is always a grand reason to look back at the previous 28-day cycle, and the next one to come...
My fateful crew of amazing musicians this last month included - Pete Powers (Drums, NOLA), Ciriaco Isma (Bass, RJ-BR), Bruno Vinezof (Percussion, PE-BR), special guest Fumihito Sugawara (Guitar, Japan) since our maestro Sergio Yazbek (Guitar, SP-BR) was in Brazil spending time with family while producers Greg Jones (Houston-USA) and Beto Martinez (Laredo-USA) worked with us at the studio.  We played some fun shows (Thank You Craftpride, SFC, Whip In & City of Lufkin) and in the Houston area while also getting ready to go back into the studio to record the last 3 songs of Frederico7's full album, Exotico Americano  . Yes, we are in the finish line for the music production and we will have a very exciting announcement comimg out later this month. Stay tuned!
In addition to more writing and recording, we will be playing a vibrant set at one of Austin's coolest festivals, Saturnalia Fest.  Catch us on Saturday, Nov. 17th at 4.30PM alongside a terrific roster of bands and friends. Finally, this last weekend, our music community has lost another terrific, kind and visionary artist, trumpet player and composer Mr. Roy Hargrove. I want to sincerely wish heartfelt condolences and my deep admiration of him to his family and friends. Mr. Hargrove is a standard of musical excellence whom I was lucky enough to see play 4 different times back in the late 90's. We will carry his music in our hearts, forever. RIP. Oba ! I'm still feeling this lovely rainy weather we are having in ATX (after 100 days of 100 degree weather) and the change in season brings opportunities to shake things up, cleanse and grow.
I'm finding a lot of inspiration from masters such as # Paul McCartney, #David Byrne, #Residente and # Janelle Monáe  are in town. How lucky are Austinites to have so much musical wealth! Talking about Austin, huge props to my friends who are performing at #ACL this year, making us all so proud; including # SUPERFONICOS who debut their EP 'Suelta' and, the amazing # Jackie Venson and the wild kids at Golden Dawn Arkestra  #GDA - check them out !
This Weekend I will be playing with my full band on Friday 10/12th @ CraftPride at 10-Midnight (Rainey Street). It's a free show, so come out to unwind after ACL.

Last week I was happy to return to Lechehouse Studios to work with my  friend and talented producer Beto Martinez ( Grupo Fantasma; Brownout; Money Chicha )  and producer Greg Jones on putting the finishing touches on Vibran Los Ancestors; a '' funk/pop/reggae/cumbia'  track en español  about the continual hopes and struggles of our ancestors passed down throughout the generations. You'll be able to hear it this Winter ahead of the release of  Exótico Americano .  (Alán Uribe is tracking the bass in the pict).
If you are out and about in Austin, TX this weekend, you'll have two opportunities to hear us live:
As a trio, on Friday October 5th; 8-10pm @ the Whip In (1950 S IH 35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704)
F ull band on Saturday October 6th at the historic Kenny Dorham Backyard (1106 E 11th St, Austin, TX 78702), as part of the World Family Funk Fest (6-midnight - More info at : World Family Funk Fest  also featuring Sha Goldie Pipes (Houston) and Bayou Maharaj (Funk from Lafayette, LA).

Fall is here in Austin Texas and I am excited about all the recording happening at Leche House studios with Grammy Winner Beto Martinez at the helm and my collaborator Greg Jones co-producing the tracks for my solo debut release next Spring.
