Biography Feared As Villains was founded by Kris Kovacs and Steve Nikoleychuk in February of 2015 originally as a 2 piece jamming in a garage. It wasn't too long after Kris' long time friend and bassist, Derek Jesse, started coming to jam and joined the line up during the middle of recording the debut album currently being finished. In early 2017 Kurtis Desautels came to jam and would become part of the lineup as the second guitarist, debuting live on stage at the Irvine Hotel. This band has proven to be highly entertaining from the antics on and off stage to the extreme innovation. Drawing in multiple random people during practices in the garage we played in to being the first band around here to Live Stream our practices on FaceBook catching major attention from all over. It's rumoured that they had once even bribed Rock 105.3's very own Poncho Parker to come join them for an evening in the garage.... Kris is the voice and mastermind on guitar leading the band while bringing his influences from Godsmack, Deftones, Five Finger Death Punch with a personal touch of blues on the tracks. A few notable bands from Kris' past are Crystal Clear, In Like Sin and Hailed As Hero's following his successful solo project, recording and releasing multiple tracks to radio and YouTube.Steve is the back beat on drums forging a one off metal style with unique double kick and ability to play many styles like country, blues, rock and metal. Noticeable influences, Pantera, Godsmack and Corrosion Of Conformity can easily be heard. Most notable previous band being Separate Self, helping to record and release the 2013 Line Of Fire album world wide.Derek brings his pounding, melodic bass lines to the band which you can instantly hear the Tool influence in his tone and playing style. Prior notable bands for Derek are Crystal Clear as well Hailed As Hero's with Kris and they have enjoyed multiple songs released to radio during that time.Kurt brings his old school feel with a blues swing to it and has a very diverse set of influences from Neil Young to Highly Suspect and everything between.
