I’m a songwriter, an actor, a writer, a philosopher, and an artist. I had to settle for these categories because I can’t seem to make any money at telling the terrible dad jokes that won’t stop coming into my brain. Alas. Thankfully, I really am passionate about the rest. From 2012-2015 I was the lead singer and songwriter of a Reno, NV-based band called The Pretty Unknown. We played about 70 shows in 3 years and put out a full length album, recorded by Tom Gordon at iMirage Studios. About half-way through the 250 hours we spent with Tom, I realized that songwriting and creating in the studio was a passion I needed to follow, and that I needed to take major steps to align my life toward my creative pursuits. Around the same time, I met some fantastic people in Reno who used to live in Nashville, TN, and had inroads to the music industry. 6 months later I was living in Nashville and soaking in the sounds and talent that the city had to offer. I’m currently working full time as a singer-songwriter. I have a 7-song EP that’s soon to be released, being recorded and produced by Dominic Gibbs (one half of the fantastic pop duo TENNIES) in Nashville. I’m also working with Kai Drachenberg in Fayetteville, AR to record and produce my first music video. In my spare time I listen to a lot of Joe Rogan, and try my best to write quality content for my other two passion projects: WhyIHatePolitics.com and SleepingBuddha.Me. Both have the aims of seeing the similarities between people (in their political views and in their religions) and breaking down the ideologies that so often keep us apart. I’m in the middle of setting up a Patreon page for those who might be interested in supporting me in my artistic endeavors. I’d better get it up soon if I ever want to get paid (that’s what he said).
