The Holland Project is a volunteer-based, youth-driven, non-profit organization with a mission to produce and facilitate art, music and culture by young people and for young people. “It’s probably the only place you’ll see icons like Jonathan Richman, Andrew WK, Ty Segall or Future Islands on the same stage, the same week as a young band playing its first gig, or a jazz student playing a recital,” says Holland Project Director Britt Curtis. Recent bookings include alternative acts like Merchandise, Olympia’s Broken Water (featured on NPR, and on Sub Pop’s Hardly Art label), rapper/spoken word artist B. Dolan, and LA’s goth-wave punk' outfit Corners. With over 200 shows per year and 10,000 attendees through their doors to date, Holland Project continues to be the destination for alternative youth-oriented event programming.   Less
